Accessibility

In this its second edition in our capital, the International Festival of Luz Madrid will offer a programme of carefully selected measures designed to ensure the inclusiveness, quality and safety of the experience, and to allow everyone to enjoy the various events that the city will be organising over these dates.

Madrid’s most emblematic spaces and buildings will be the subject of artistic interventions that will create a unique map of light, with different starting and ending points depending on the choice of each visitor. The physical accessibility of the routes between the different spaces and facilities will depend on the accessibility of the public thoroughfare and may therefore be subject to changes or other unforeseen obstacles beyond the control of the Festival organisers.

In order to eliminate any communication barriers and to allow all members of the public to enjoy the activities, each event will be accompanied by different icons describing the accessibility measures in place. There will also be a specific filter for each one of them. The timetable and specific accessibility conditions can be consulted by consulting each individual activity.

If pre-registration is required for any particular activity, the City Council will provide a video interpreting service for those who need it. Sign language interpreters will be available to assist deaf people by acting as intermediaries in the process. Those who require this service can access it by clicking on the following link:
