We witness the metamorphosis of Casa del Reloj (“Clock House”) as a machine that measures time transforms into an organism that comes to life amidst the Neo-Mudéjar motifs which are part of the city’s collective memory. This video mapping project, designed especially for LuzMadrid 2026, transforms the architecture of the iconic building into a vibrant, ever-changing entity. In an exchange between the living and the cosmic, time becomes pure, eternal energy that flows endlessly between past, present and future.

*INSTALLATION SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR LUZMADRID 2026

Camille Gross & Olivier Magermans are a French artistic duo specialised in video mapping onto historic sites. Through meticulous detail, rich visual content and soundtracks conceived as narrative threads, their work transforms each space into a memorable experience. Since presenting their first project, LUNA, in 2016 at Chartres en Lumières, they have developed projects for cities and festivals around the world: the Grand-Place in Brussels, the Town Hall of Mons, Gallier Hall in New Orleans and Biarritz en Lumières.

Location

Casa del Reloj Cultural Centre is housed in the old Central Services building of Madrid’s former municipal slaughterhouse, designed in the early 20th century by Luis Bellido. Like the rest of the complex, the building is a prime example of industrial Neo-Mudéjar architecture, with its characteristic exposed brickwork and clock tower. Today, it serves as a cultural centre and the seat of the Arganzuela District Council, combining institutional activity, cultural offerings and community life.
