LuzMadrid Conference
About
Encuentro LuzMadrid 2026 is an open invitation to examine and share experiences related to art, technology, memory and urban landscape. This inspirational encounter brings people together to explore light’s creative potential from multiple angles.
Over the course of the day, festival artists share their processes, research and working methods in lectures and panel discussions, and relevant figures in contemporary art and culture debate the transformative impact of festivals like LuzMadrid on the urban landscape and the city itself. The programme is rounded out with creative workshops where participants of all ages can experiment with light, technology and contemporary creation.
Encuentro LuzMadrid 2026 will be held from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, 14 March, at the auditorium of the Espacio Cultural Serrería Belga cultural space. This event is organised by Madrid City Council’s Directorate General of Cultural Heritage and curated by Ricardo Morcillo and Esther Torelló.
The Directorate General of Cultural Heritage of Madrid City Council coordinates all municipal activities that affect the city’s historical heritage, including restoration, protection, construction and conservation initiatives. It is also responsible for creating content that supports the study and promotion of the city of Madrid’s cultural landscape and heritage.
