Javier Moreno
Spain
14 March
8pm. Five 15-minute sessions, Four 20-minute intermissions

Produced by CentroCentro
Terra is a project by double bassist and composer Javier Moreno which was conceived as an introspective journey in which fatherhood and innocence are the basic themes of a single life path. Designed as a multidisciplinary work featuring contemporary jazz for a string trio and the bandoneon as well as video mapping, it incorporates audio-reactive projections and generative artificial intelligence systems that connect the music to the visuals in real time. After premièring in Rome as the final project of an artistic residency at the city’s Royal Academy of Spain, Terra arrives at CentroCentro as an exchange between sound and images which expand into visual landscapes that are connected by the experimental energy of jazz.
